Ahhhh, Venice. Our first visit was late in the afternoon as it was getting dark.

Just took a few pictures last night. Now we're on the train the next day.

...have to cross over water to get to the Island of Venice.

What do you do first? You eat of course!! Real Italian pizza. Nothing like what you get in the states.

After the train station, this is the main canal. Each body of water had a bridge - all bridges had steps, NOT a ramp of any kind....which means, I fold up and carry JP's stroller up/down the stairs of each and every bridge we cross. I lost count of all the bridges. Ouch!!

Did I mention steps!!!

Lot's of restaurants along the canals.

Some of the walkways between buildings were extremely narrow.

The original foundations and walls were hundreds of years old.

Did I mention steps?

More narrow walk ways between buildings. They used every square inch of space they could.

One way to enjoy all the sweets is to just look at them - and you'll still gain weight!!  ha ah

Did I mention steps?

We have to ride one of those later!!

We ate dinner at one of these little restaurants. So enchanting, so romantic, ahhhhhhhh.

Got to keep Charlene away from these shops!!

A Disney Store - JP was in his glory!!

Here is the famous San Marco Square.....

JP found the pigeons to be very friendly....

Here is what everyone talks about - the pigeons at San Marco Square...

You buy a little food from one of the vendors and the pigeons become instant friends.

Ok, I'll take a shot at it. Bring 'em on.

hmmm, what happens if I put some food on JP's head?

....here they come!!

JP is loving it!!

Ok, I'm having fun too.

I'm putting a message on this one's leg....go back to ZHA and tell them to reboot the server....

Ok JP, lay down and I'll put some food on your belly - let's see what happens.....

Where's JP???

Time for JP to take out his own camera and get some pictures.

Time for our gondola ride....

Water levels in Venice are rising dangerously above door levels.

....funny, the gondolier got a cell phone call while we were out.  Old technology and new technology at the same time!!

...got another gondolier to take a picture of us together...

A romantic kiss on a gondola - JP doesn't seem very excited???
