These pictures are just what I could "snap" while we were driving from Rome to Naples.

Many more mountains and hills on this part of the trip. Once again, you can see several places where they have carved out marble from the mountain sides if you look carefully.

Check it out - I'm doing 140 (kilometers per hour that is!! - about 82 mph)  And most of the time
I was being passed by cars blowing my doors off!!  It's not unusual for cars to pass you doing
110-120mph.  Does the term "keep right" make more sense here!!

Ok, so I had to try it in the left lane. But I was only doing 95, and had to move back over after a
couple of minutes to let a couple of Audi's go by!  Scary stuff!!!

It's safer in this lane!

Ok, construction on the other side of the hi-way, so they put up these little reflectors and route
the traffic to this side. Now we're both doing 140kph, in opposite directions. Scary?

All Hail the Navigator!!  Laptop in her lap, GPS on the dash board. She's doing a fantastic job!!
(geek! lol)

Getting closer to Naples, mountains getting bigger and more frequent.

OMG, we're here. That's Mt Vesuvius, a volcano, and we're this close to it?

We'll be touring the city of Naples tomorrow. More pictures to come.
